Geometric design with Jet, Pipestone, and Turquoise and a Mother of Pearl Spiral Design. Earrings are accented with brass bars and backed by Jet. Artist hallmark on back and sterling silver ear wires.
Warren Nieto and Oneida Caté are from Kewa (Santo Domingo) Pueblo in New Mexico. Warren and Oneida's jewelry pieces are unique and consist of both traditional and contemporary designs and styles. From Warren " I relate all our pieces to our emergence stories, migration stories and modern Pueblo history. We call our jewelry “Kiva Steps” and it means whether your steps be from the pit house kivas, or to modern day kivas, all have same meanings of the steps one takes in life.
