Native American Jewelry - 100% Authentic Santo Domingo/Kewa Pueblo Stone Jewelry - Large and stunning one-of-a-kind colorful mosaic inlay pendant created by Santo Domingo/Kewa artist couple Warren Nieto and Oneida Cate. Designs are a Turtle with spiral center, rainbow and artists signature Kiva Steps at top. Stones include Apple Coral, Turquoise, Penn Shell, Coral, Serpentine, Mother of Pearl and Jet. Designs are outlined in sterling silver. Pendant is backed by Penn Shell and has a silver wire bale. Hand engraved hallmarks on back of piece.
Warren Nieto and Oneida Caté are from Kewa (Santo Domingo) Pueblo in New Mexico. Warren and Oneida's jewelry pieces are unique and consist of both traditional and contemporary designs and styles. From Warren " I relate all our pieces to our emergence stories, migration stories and modern Pueblo history. We call our jewelry “Kiva Steps” and it means whether your steps be from the pit house kivas, or to modern day kivas, all have same meanings of the steps one takes in life. All stones and beads are hand cut.
